A Chance for the Final Rose Is Waiting at the “Bachelor Live” Onstage

March 24, 2022 @ 11:00am | Keith Loria

“The Bachelor” first premiered on ABC 20 years ago, and over the course of 26 seasons and 275 episodes—not to mention 18 seasons of spinoff series “The Bachelorette” and seven seasons of “Bachelor in Paradise” — it’s given hope to hundreds upon hundreds of people looking to find their true love.

The Bachelor Nation fandom has given rise to “Bachelor Live on Stage,” a touring production hosted by former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin, which is coming to D.C.’s Warner Theatre on April 3.

The night will find Justin Glaze, one of the most popular suitors from Season 17 of “The Bachelorette,” meeting several women from the audience and going through a season’s worth of Bachelor activities to find a winner.

“It’s an opportunity for fans to get a glimpse into a full season of “The Bachelor” in one night,” Glaze says. “The idea is to give them a full experience of what it’s like to be in the mansion, fully immersed, up-close and personal.”

Members of the audience will be able to ask questions, make suggestions and cheer on the participants on stage, as Blaze takes them through a series of games, conversations and even group date challenges that allow the live Bachelor to get to know the women more.

“I’m the co-host with Becca, but also the Bachelor, so I will be selecting the ladies to come on stage, handing out the roses and definitely be leaning in on the crowd to help me with my decisions,” Blaze says.

And as long as someone is over 21, it doesn’t matter what age they are, whether they’re single, dating or married, or if they’ve even seen the show, everyone who competes will have an equal chance to collect the final rose.

Just like on the real show, Blaze has some ideas on what he’ll be looking for in a winner.

“It will be mostly based off the kind of energy I get from the ladies and who is out there to have a good time and show a full spectrum of personality,” he says.

Each round, he will hand out his roses and eliminate contestants, and there will even be a hometown section like in the series, that comes near the end of the competition.

“Once we get down to the final few, I’ll ask some personal questions,” Blaze says. “Once we go away from the group activities, this is a chance for me to ask some one-on-one, more direct questions to the final few, and I can get to know them a bit better.”

Besides the final rose itself, the winning contestant will take home some fantastic jewelry from the show’s sponsor, Kendra Scott.

Blaze is one of seven Bachelors who are taking part in a national tour, and is having a blast getting to interact with the fans and talk about Bachelor Nation.

“We have such a tremendous fan base and they are so supportive, and it’s so great to see that in person rather than just on social media,” he says. “I’m looking forward to giving them more of a taste of who I am.”

He’s also enjoying working with Kufrin, and previews there will be a lot of banter and audience members can expect the unexpected.

“I like to think of myself as a funny guy, so we feed off of each other well, and hopefully create a good time for everyone who comes out,” Blaze says.

“Bachelor Live on Stage” starts at 7 p.m., but for those who want a chance to compete as one of the ladies who will be vying for the final rose from Glaze, it’s recommended they show up at least an hour before curtain to register for an opportunity to be part of the live show.

“There’s a casting table at the venue, and they will be looking for 10-12 ladies to be selected,” Blaze says.
